A Camera Gift

On the last Christmas my mother said to me that she would present me a special gift. I couldn’t even suppose what it would be. I had different variants: bass guitar, iPod or puppy, which I dreamed about for a long time or a bicycle, it was another dream, because the last one was broken or even I had a crazy idea, that it would a little brother or sister. But when I opened the box with a gift I was very delighted and excited. It was a camera. I was very happy that I would have my own camera, because my father didn’t allow to me to use his camera. He said that it was a very expensive camera and I could break it. But finally I had my, my own camera. From that moment I had a new hobby – take a photograph. I took a photograph of every member of my family, nature, landscapes, my classmates and everything that surrounded me. Wherever I had gone I took my camera with me. I just couldn’t stay it home, because what if there would be a great moment and I couldn’t take a picture of it. I took pictures of all spheres of my life. And then I edited them on my computer. I made a very interesting and funny slide show with the funniest photos of my classmates and showed it at the lesson. Everybody laughed. My teacher even said that it is a good idea as a keepsake of our class. Also I made a great postcard with all members of my family; it was like a generation of our family. And my mother hung it in the living room. To take pictures became a part of my life. At school I was asked to become a photojournalist. I visited all important events in our school: the final game of basketball team, a fair, a performance of the school theater and so on. I was very proud that I took a great part in a school life. And at the end of a school year the principle asked me to make a kind of photo exhibition about the past year. There were a lot of people who came to see my pictures. Once my grandfather said that I could make money with my camera, but it is just a hobby for me.
